Michal Commanday has been a gardener for over thirty years, creating beautiful gardens wherever she has lived in Berkeley, Oakland and Walnut Creek. She holds certificates in Landscape Horticulture, Design & Construction and an Associate of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Merritt College in Oakland, CA.  Michal is an active member of the California Native Plant Society, the Garden Conservancy and the Association for Landscape Design Professionals and is a docent at the East Bay Regional Park’s native plant garden at Tilden Park in Berkeley, where she leads tours for children and adults.
